What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

Refocusing Our Efforts ...

100 Day Burpee Challenge:
Burpee Buy-In: 120
Burpees Remaining: 4,930

Well, for many of us ... we took an extended vacation to bring in the New Year. I know several of you stayed on top of WOD's and on top of your burpees!! Nice job ... now it's time to refocus your energy towards the long haul ... 2009!

I heared from someone about a week ago say to me, "My God, how long are you going to workout and diet!" My response: "At some point in time, it goes from a diet and working out to just my way of life!" Isn't funny or sad that our culture sees eating healthy and staying fit as a one time event? This week, help someone who is starting their new year's resolution to become more fit. Whether, it's giving them tips to eat more healthy or work out advise! You never know who will accept this change for the long term.

This was a mother ... 30:32 was my time. Shoulders were dying and push ups were killer.
