What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist. The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

Form v Intensity ... You Weigh In

Courtesy CrossFit Santa Cruz:
"Better movement is not an accident. Better movement is a necessity. The only way to get more weight to move farther in less time is through better movement. Think of the classic argument of right place, or right time. The question being, if you are going out to lunch with someone do you want them to be on time, or do you what them at the right place? The answer of course is both, right? So if the question is do we want good technique or fast times. The answer is clearly both." ... Courtesy CrossFit Santa Cruz:

There's a fine line between between intensity & form. I can bust out a Fran time of 4:41 with a little bit of sloppiness to it or I can do the reps prefect and finish 40seconds slower. Which is better ... to each person it's different. Which would you benefit from more?
